She Deafened Me With Science! [18 Sep 2008|08:50pm]
I'm sure some of you have seen this before, but it's worth inflicting sharing again...

Scientific Attempt To Create Most Annoying Song Ever

"An online poll conducted in the '90s set Vitaly Komar, Alex Melamid and David Soldier on a quest to create the most annoying song ever. After gathering data about people's least favorite music and lyrical subjects, they did the unthinkable: they combined them into a single monstrosity, specifically engineered to sound unpleasant to the maximum percentage of listeners.

...It's actually a fascinating listen, worthwhile for the opera rapping alone."

Random Strange Thought Of The Morning [26 Jul 2007|06:09am]
For the science geeks....

It's been theorized the one could find "shortcuts" through space by traveling across higher dimensions.

In quantum entanglement, two particles can be observed seeming to influence each other across vast distances.

What if they're not so far apart in a higher dimension?

A quick glance here would suggest I'm probably way off on how this works. Anybody got any thoughts on the matter?

I just checked out the Santa Tracker.... right now he's winging his way through Europe. I think that is so cool.

For those of you who celebrate it, Merry Christmas. And for the rest of you, hope you're having a great time.

The Eternal Question [18 Oct 2006|07:32am]
I heard a story at work last night that I'm not even gonna post. It's just that stupid. And ickifying.

So anyway...

Been watching more WKRP on youtube while it lasts, which brings to mind a question which overshadows the trivial "Ginger or Mary Ann" debate by several orders of magnitude...

"On The Plane They're Searching For Snakes Everywhere" [25 Aug 2006|07:03pm]
I'd like to see Weird Al Yankovic write a song called "Snakes on a Plane" set to the tune of "Band on the Run." (Admit it: You're already singing it to yourself to see how it sounds. Perfect, isn't it.) - Peter David

I'd buy it.

"Mine anaconda wantest not if thou doth not have buns, fair damsel" [23 May 2006|09:09am]
Yon renowned fellow, let us kick it
Ho, everyone, cease, I prithee listen
Thor hath returned with a new invention
Lethal, when I doth serenade thee
For any lesser tune wouldst be a travesty
If there be any ill, I shalt resolve it
Look thee upon mine hook while mine DJ revolves it

How WOULD the Mighty Thor reinterpret some other contemporary pop hits?
